I officially survived my first day at my shiny new job. In between the mountain of paperwork I found myself getting excited about the new experience and finally finding something I can really put my all into. The trainer ended the orientation stating that she hoped that this would be a career for us rather than a job. I think that will be the case for me, or at least a career move in the right direction.
The new shift is a little disorienting. It was weird getting up before the sun. Not only that but the darn sun didn’t even make an appearance until I was walking out the door. I cannot wait until daylight savings time…and I never thought I’d say that! All the coffee in the world couldn’t convince my body it was wakey wakey time. It’s odd that everything is flip-flopped. I’m going to work in the dark and coming home in sunlight, when before I was going to work in sunlight and leaving after dark. I’m a little bit at a loss of what to do with myself after work now that Justin isn’t around. I think it’s probably time to try that working out thing again, we have a ton of on demand exercising episodes I should try out, and maybe break out the Zumba again. We’ll see! Since Justin isn’t around to fight the TV for, I really don’t have any excuses.
